Envisioning a Future Bathroom Basin

Someone that seeks to envision the home products of the future tends to dream up ideas about possible high tech gadgets. Yet even the most creative minds must work extra hard in order to think up high tech equipment for the area around the bathroom basin. Nevertheless, ongoing changes in functional fixtures for the bathroom guarantee the introduction of technologically simple but remarkably beautiful bathroom sinks.

At the present time, the strictly utilitarian fixtures in a small bathroom would be incomplete unless they included a wall mounted sink. In the future bathroom basins could assume a far different form. It is possible that an appreciable number of future bathrooms will have a vessel sink.

While the wall mounted sink hangs on the bathroom wall, the vessel sink has no connection to any part of the structure in which that sink has been placed. Yet that vessel sink does have one feature that can also be found on a wall mounted sink. That is its bathroom basin taps. For a vessel sink, those taps can either stick out of the wall, or they can emerge from pipes, pipes that come out of the stand holding up that sink like vessel.

That vessel stand will probably assume a form quite unlike the traditional white stand of the more familiar bathroom basin. That stand could, for example, copy the look of a large spring. It could be made to look like a wave. Today, both a spring shaped sink stand and a wave shaped stand can be analyzed by anyone conducting an online search for sink stands.

Because increasing numbers of homeowners do decide to put a vessel sink in one or more bathrooms, homeowners can expect changes in the feel of their bathroom basin. That is due to the use of a diverse line of materials during the production of any sink like vessels. Today, not every vessel sink available to the public possesses the same texture as a ceramic basin. Some of those vessels are glass, while others are made of steel.

Of course, the maker of a typical bathroom basin must take into account the fact that not every homeowner will see a vessel sink as a bathroom item that is smarter, newer or better than any of the bathroom basin sinks. Therefore, the makers of bathroom fixtures will continue to produce an alternative type of sink—the bathroom vanity basin.

During the construction of new homes, many builders have decided to put a bathroom sink within a vanity. The size of a selected vanity depends on the dimensions of the bathroom that will contain that vanity. The tiniest vanities are no more than twelve inches wide. They are dwarfed by the vanities that can stretch across a width of four feet.

In addition to coming in different sizes, bathroom vanities have been constructed from different materials. Still all such vanities hold a functioning bathroom basin. The one unique feature associated with each vanity relates to the face that comes and goes in the mirror, the mirror hanging above that vanity basin.

Now, a wall mounted sink is a really cool fixture. I've always been partial to the pedestal sinks, but I'm beginning to be a fan of the wall mounted variety too.

I think wall mounted bathroom basins are a good idea for a small bathroom because they don't look so cluttered. Of course you do have the pipe issue underneath to deal with.

I am amazed at how succinctly you can summarize an idea. Love the whole concept of vessel sinks.
