Eliminate Strain and Pain with a Contour Pillow
72Contour pillows are ergonomically designed and improve sleep as well as giving excellent support to the back and neck. They can even aid in developing better body posture. Choosing to incorporate a contour pillow into a sleep routine will reward a person with improved rest, less strain and pain, and more enjoyable and energy filled days.
In the mid 1960s, a NASA research center developed memory foam. Polyurethane that was treated with chemicals to increase the density and the viscosity of the polyurethane foam, memory foam was originally intended for improving the safety of aircraft cushions in an impact. It became a raging success as a material for pillows that offer the ultimate comfort. Purchasing a contour memory foam pillow means that a person chose comfort that will allow them to sleep deeply, comfortably, and with less waking. It also eliminates undue strain on the neck and spine that may lead to back and neck pain throughout the day. Contour memory foam pillow users awaken refreshed and ready to face the day. A memory foam contour pillow cradles the head and neck at the angle ideal for spinal alignment and molds itself around the base of the head and neck to support weight and mass perfectly. A pillow that is hypoallergenic as well as anti-microbial, the memory foam contour pillow is suitable for anyone interested in a good night's sleep.
Durable as well as comfortable, a contour memory pillow is made not to break down easily. They will not require fluffing up in order to make them comfortable, nor will a person have to get up at night and spend time punching and molding their pillow in an attempt to get the proper support that they need from it.
With its unique open cell structure memory foam reacts to body heat as well as to weight and will soften from body heat in order to mold itself around the head and neck, but will still offer the support needed as the cooler layers below retain their firmness. This amazing material means that a contour memory foam pillow will relieve pressure points and offer unsurpassed comfort over that of any other type of pillow. There is a great difference in feel among these pillows due to density and layer thickness of memory foam because high density pillows are firm and return to the original shape less quickly while lower density pillows are softer and feel more like traditional foam pillows that a person may be used to using.
For back sleepers or side sleepers, a contour pillow is going to be perfect because contour pillows of good quality provide great softness and support no matter what sleeping position a person prefers. In addition, it can accommodate people who have either short or long necks and since all people have different builds and body styles; a contour pillow is an ideal choice to add to any bedding set. Back and neck pain is often diminished after a person switches to using a contour pillow from a traditional one.
A contour pillow gives the best sleep, is comfortable and offers proper neck and head alignment and support to decrease back and neck pain. Costing more than a traditional pillow, they are still a terrific value, because a contour pillow pays off in comfort. The durability of a quality memory foam contour pillow means that pillows will not need constantly replaced, and the savings in pain relievers that a person used to control the back and neck pain from a traditional pillow can be substantial as well. A contour pillow is an investment in comfort and health.

I sleep on my back most of the time and I love my contour pillow. It also provides good support for the times I sleep on my side. I've been using one for years since my chiropractor recommended it.
